Paul Schonewolf

Paul Schonewolf joined NQVFC in 2004 after serving 42 years as a volunteer with the Grand Boulevard Volunteer Fire Company in Niskayuna, N.Y. (suburb of Schenectady).  He was elected an Honorary Chief of the NQVFC in 2004 and a Director in 2005.        
     In Niskayuna Paul served 20 years as an elected member of the Board of Fire Commissioners for Niskayuna Fire District One.  He served 10 of those years as Chairman of the Board which managed the District's Combination Department of 12 career firefighters and 45 volunteers.
       During his service with the Grand Boulevard Fire Company Paul served as President, Secretary, Treasurer and a driver\pump operator instructor.  He also has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the New York State Association of Fire Chief since 1995 and is currently that organization's 1st Vice President.
